VFX5001_3D for VFX 004

Updated: Oct 6, 2019

Friday's lesson was a short tutorial in Nuke.

This lesson was meant for us to learn how to export the plate into an image sequence. Why do we need that?

3DEqualizer can only read image sequence as well in Maya, so to make it work and be able to continue the project we need to convert the movie file extension to an image sequence.

It's pretty straightforward, we set the settings of the script project and set the frame range limit, then we import the file by using the node read, then finally we add the write node, it's for rendering, and set the file format to .jpg or .dpx.

The DPX extension is mostly used in the industry since it stores an enormous amount of data and we can manipulate freely.

All of the things will make our work being transferred easily to any software without delaying the project.
